The Seasons Retirement Communities in Kenwood asked me to come back and I was pleased to present my PowerPoint program on Monday, March 5th.
The people in the audience ā women and men! ā enjoyed a lovely luncheon of tea sandwiches, assorted fresh fruit and desserts while I provided a brief look at what downtown Cincinnati used to be like. I also discussed a little bit about what was involved in the various stages of the book project: research, writing, recipes. Following that I provided snapshots into the history of the six tearooms highlighted in the book. The talk concluded with mouth-watering photographs of some tearoom menu items that were made using the recipes that are in the book.
Iām looking forward to my next visit in May when I will be giving a talk about Virginia Bakery Remembered.
