On September 29th I moderated a Fab Fridays! OLLI class that was held at Ohio Living Llanfair in College Hill. This was the longest presentation I’ve given to date. By their request, the class ran from 9:30 to noon with a fifteen-minute break. My PowerPoint presentation included 99 pictures, so there were lots of interesting images to accompany what I was saying.
Added fun for me was when a number of people came up to introduce themselves or remind me of our having met years ago. There was a woman who had been a friend of my mother-in-law and she told me how Rosemary had shared stories with her about helping me test recipes for the book. Other ladies told me that they were friends of my husband’s aunts; the wife of my former dermatologist stopped to say hello; a woman who knew some of the Pogue family members had stories to share; and a neighbor from my childhood re-introduced himself after roughly fifty years!
