Talking in the Popular Library Lounge

On Saturday, January 28th, I presented my second program for The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County – this time in the Popular Library Lounge of the main branch downtown. A very nice group of people gathered to hear me speak about Lost Tea Rooms of Downtown Cincinnati. I discussed what was involved with the research phase, as well as gathered memories of what downtown used to be like and the tearooms’ histories. My comments were accompanied by vintage photos and pictures of retro food representing the over 100 recipes in the book.

Following the presentation, I got to speak with some of the audience members one-on-one. Some people brought copies of the book that they already owned to be autographed; others bought copies that were for sale from The Friends Shop. I’m very pleased that the Library’s gift shop is handling the book along with their very interesting and unique items.
